Catching up with the Time Hound -- Avengers oh my!

Hello! *wave*

It's been a while since I've posted anything here. How have you all been? I've been busy, but I'm still finding time to collect and level heroes in Super Hero Squad Online. Here's the recent additions of mine to the max hero club:

1- Valkyrie -- Tea time anyone?

2- Luke Cage -- Tiara and a fro go together like chocolate and peanut butter, yo.

3- Spider Woman -- Always reading up on the latest top secret stuffs.

You might have received the notice in the mail about all the Avengers excitement buzzing in SHSO these days.

To those ends, I'm sure you know by now that Captain America in his Super Soldier getup is now on sale in the gold shop:

And as a special bonus, looks like Gazillion/The Amazing Society put American Dream on special as well!

With all this Captain America pride going on here lately, you know the best thing to do is hold a Captain America power emote party whenever the mood strikes you. :)

I've been noticing a lot of that happening lately, and yup, I've definitely been joining in whenever one of those emote throwdown parties happen. :)

Hope you all are still enjoying these reduced hero costs as much as I am. I think I'll go update my price guide.

One last thing, Uber wife and I recorded another episode of Happy Dueling Hour a couple weeks ago, and we once again mention Super Hero Squad Online among all the other stuff we talk about. Take a listen if you'd like. Hop to the 42:49 minute mark to hear what we have to say about SHSO. :)

Happy Dueling!

    2. I like the old school look too. I've yet play him in a mission, but from wikispaces his combos play like this:

      Fight Style: Melee
      Movement: Double Jump
      Combo Damage: 12+16+19+37+40+40=164
Power 1: Covering Fire! -1 Star- Fires gun three times for 14+14+14 damage
Power 2: Fire in the Hole! -2 Stars- Throws a grenade for 29 damage
Power 3: Charging Shield! -3 Stars- Charges through enemies with shield for 44 damage
Hero Up: Calls in airstrike for 70+70 damage

Regular Captain America plays like this:

      Fight Style: Melee
      Movement: Double jump
      Combo Damage: 12+16+19+19+38+15+15+15+15=166 (15+20+24+24+48+19+19+19+19=207)
Power 1: Shield Slash -1 Star- Throws shield for 35 Damage and stun. (44 with Damage Bonus)

    1. I don't know, there's something about having the new heroes right when they come out that's fun. I'd probably wait for the new ones. It's been hard to keep up lately. They've been releasing so many new heroes that it feels like it's one a week.

  3. Dont have Wolvie But I Have Classic Thor And Hes A Good Character...I Really Like Him...But If It Was Me I Would Save Up And Get One Of The New Avengers That Are Coming Out Or The New Moleman Mission...Since I Did Not Have American Dream I Went Ahead And Bought Her For 300 Gold...Shes Cool I Like Her But I Probly Would Not Like Her That Good For 600 Gold...So I Got Her Then Super Soilder Cap...Kinda Messed Up My Gold But I Dont Regret It...So Thats What Im Doin :)

    1. yeah, my common sense meter tells me to buy things when they are on sale. I have to run with that even if I regret it later too.

  4. Luke Cage's third emote is actually a tribute to his other older costume where he has an afro and a headband. He used to wear that costume while he was in the Heroes for Hire with Iron Fist. It's apparently not a tiara but a headband. Go check him out on Google Images and you'll see his old costume with the afro.

    1. yeah, I know. I was actually refering to a joke made in the Super Hero Squad cartoon: http://timehoundtimes.blogspot.com/2012/03/super-hero-squad-show-sunday-s-1-e-6.html

Iron Man tells a toddler, "Uh, sweetie. How about if Uncle Iron Man makes you a pretty new tiara?"
the toddler responds, "Like the one Luke Cage wears?"
Luke Cage says, "It's a headband."
And then Iron Man says, "It's a tiara. We've all discussed it."

      ;)
